Homeward bound

Hi everyone,

Sorry it has been so long since we updated, but we have had no access to the internet for 3 weeks and have worked long days.

I am so proud of Joshua and Andrew. They worked so diligently this month making it possible for us to finish Eva's siding job and remodel her kitchen as an extra project. The boys did almost all of the vinyl soffit, foam insulation and vinyl siding by themselves. The workmanship was excellent.

Eva's house was an old home requiring much extra TLC. We had to rebuild almost everything as we attempted to improve the home. We installed all new doors and windows. We cladded all exposed jambs and other surfaces. The transformation was amazing.

Working for Eva was a most rewarding experience. She prayed for God to send her the right person to help her and she clearly states that we were an answer to her prayers. She was so grateful to us and extended much hospitality to us including sending us off Fri. evening with a pizza party for us and some of her friends. I believe God blessed her as we worked for her several weeks and it never rained during work time but we received soaking rain 3 consecutive Friday nights after work hours.

We have traveled the first 600 miles and have arrived safely at Perryville, MO at our regular stopping point. We arrived at 8:30 P.M and were able to enjoy the pool before going to sleep.

Thank you for your prayers.

We will travel 600 miles today and should be home before bedtime.

We were blessed last Sunday afternoon by going to a concert series at Ocean Springs. We saw Superchic, KJ52, Disciple and my favorite, Brit Nicole. It was an outdoor event and was a lot of fun.
We had a short visit to the beach last Sat. afternoon.

We also worked a Sat. for Ed and Marcella. Their home is almost complete and they will be able to move back home. The indoor pictures are their home. We installed their cabinets, trim, doors and floors. The countertops are real granite installed by another contractor.

We are excited to return home and plan to spend January through April in MS next winter. We already have offers for work.

God Bless each of you.

Peggy's shower

Hi everyone, Well, the big bridal shower was last evening. It was held at the new Abby city hall. It was a nice time. Here is Samuel beginning to hang the thousands of crystals and Nicholas hanging all the sequins strings that had to be hung from the ceiling.

Some of the wonderful guests for the shower.
And of course, you need food right. This was one of our displays. It was lots of fun and Peggy was really blessed.

Charlotte's entire family was able to spend Sunday afternoon together. Becky has returned home, of course, Charlotte is home from MS, and Peggy is still in Colby. It was a sweet time for them all to be together. Charlotte's parents, Michael, and Nathan were also all there.

We are enjoying beautiful weather again. We did have a rain night Friday, reaching into Sat morning.

We finished Ed and Marcella's project on Wed.

We are pressing on with Eva's house, that will be the routine until we are finished. Joshua and Andrew are being a big help. They installed a large porch ceiling with vinyl soffit while Brian rebuilt a porch roof.

Eva is Seventh Day Adventist, so we will not work for her on Saturday, her worship day.

We spent this Saturday doing odd jobs, missing details, installed a attic fan for Maureen and changed transmission fluid in the truck.

We will try, but pictures will be a bit tricky these weeks. Charlotte has our family camera and the card reader, and Brian will have a new camera this week, but no access to upload pics.

It will be a tough few weeks, we have never been apart more than about 10 days. It puts into perspective the sacrifice of our military families.

We joined Pastor Murphy and Twila, Pastor Pete and Pam, Pastor Billy and Saudi and their children for lunch.
Andrew joined Hamp and Susan for a few hours, and Joshua joined Pastor Murphy, Twila and their family for a few hours.

Thank you for your prayers regarding Charlotte's safe trip home.

Thanks for checking the blog.

We will post pics of the shower.

In Christ,

The Haines Family

Just a quick note to let you all know that Charlotte is half way home tonight. She stopped at our regular stop at Perryville, MO. She will return late Wed. afternoon to Colby. Please lift her up in prayer for safe travel tomorrow.

Brian, Joshua, and Andrew have stayed in MS to complete a large job for Eva and will return in about 3 weeks.

We will see you all soon.
