Time to remodel the church

Hi everyone,

Wow, I can't believe how we have failed to update the blog. It has been a very busy month.

We finished Nathan and Amanda's last week. We will publish pictures soon. It turned out beautiful.

We are fully involved in remodeling the church in Abbotsford. At this time we have the majority of the demolition and framing completed. It is amazing how the structural changes have modernized the facility. Pastor Will's father in law Gary is also working full time on the remodel. He is a very experienced and capable contractor. It has been a pleasure working with him.

It is a blessing how the timing of this whole thing works out. In June the school where we meet will close for major building improvements. We would have been forced to find a place to meet.

There is excitement about the church in the community. We are seeing many visitors in both the English and Hispanic services.

Winter has been brutal this year. We have had many days below zero and numerous nights between -10 and -25. We have about 16 inches of snow.

Charlotte and Brian enrolled in a massage class in Colby this month. We have always enjoyed receiving a massage, but giving one has been difficult for both of us. We have learned so many things and are now being able to bless one another with the benefits of massage. Our instructor Josiah has been very helpful. We would be glad to share more about this with you.

Nicholas, Joshua, and Samuel will attend Winterblast at Believer's Church in Marshfield next weekend.

We helped Becky move to Marshfield. Peggy's upper apartment will now be rented out.

Micheal's employer wants him to relocate to Wausau, WI by June. What a turn of events. Only 8 months ago Peggy and Michael were in Bakersfield CA and we thought we would seldom see them.

We are all doing well. The kids are growing up so fast. Rosa speaks well now. Nicholas is turning 18 in July.

We are so glad you take the time to check our blog. May God richly bless you according too His riches in glory!

Welcome 2009!

Hi everyone,

Sorry we have been absent from the page, but have been having trouble with it. We have a lot of pictures to load, but have had troubles and have not solved them yet. We are all well and busy doing many things.

Life with teens and toddlers in the same house is crazy.

We had a nice Christmas. Everything was simple. We spent Christmas eve at Brian's parents and the Saturday after Christmas with Charlotte's parents, sisters and brother- in-laws.

There has been nothing too exciting lately, we are just doing the daily things. Working, raising and schooling the kids and church and scout responsibilities.

We are thankful at this time. We have had a great year from start to finish. We have had profitable work, and have met many goals this year. Each of the kids are growing in many ways, and are all a blessing. We are all healthy and those around us are as well.

Nicholas and Samuel spent the weekend at a Boy Scout camp. Brian played bass for Samuel today. (First time in over 20 years.) He was a little rusty, but it comes back like riding a bike.

We are a little late finishing Nathan and Amanda's house, about 2 weeks beyond our projection. The boys did not seem interested in tackling this one for some reason. Brian spent many days alone. It was OK anyway. The home is beautiful now and is for sale. If you know anyone who could be interested, it is for sale for $70,000.00 It is all new, maybe it is a great deal. We anticipate finishing late this week. Stop in for a tour.

We are happy to give Accuity Insurance and adjuster Greg high recomendations. Amanda and Nathan were well taken care of.

It has been hard for us being here, we were very spoiled the last 3 winters. It seems like it has been so cold all winter.

Becky has accepted a live in position in Marshfield in assisted living. She was renting Peggy's apartment so the girls are dealing with moving and getting the apartment ready to be rented for the first time to the public.

Charlotte and her sisters are planning a weekend getaway together in Minneapolis next weekend. The cubscouts have their Pinewood derby next Saturday. You are invited.

We will begin remodeling at the church late this week.

We pray you are well as you read this. God bless you all.

In Christ,
