Hi everyone,
It's been a long time since we posted. We are using a different browser and was not being able to post. Hopefully, this will be figured out soon.
We are really trucking along on Joan's home. We will have our final inspections on plumbing and wiring on Friday. The outside insulation was started and finished today. We will be starting the inside insulation tomorrow.
If Joan's grants come in by Monday, we will have the siding delivered. That order would also include the doors and windows for downstairs. Once the house is closed up, we can have the drywall delivered. Much to do in the next two weeks. If everything gets here, we will be close.
We have decided to leave with the project unfinished. We will leave Joan in a position of near completion. It should not be too hard to finish what will remain. She may have to hire others to do flooring, the service elevator and cabinets. We hope to leave her exterior complete and be at least at the stage of drywall complete. I have offered to do work here on the lower level(now the garage) in January. It is not necessary to have this complete to have her move in.
The weather is so predictable it is crazy. It starts out pretty warm in the morning, then between 2:00 - 3:00 there is a small thunderstorm that blows up. They come from nowhere and the locals call them squalls. You can almost set your clock to it. Not always do we end up with rain, but for sure we end up with wind gusts. Later after the squawl it's nice out. So the trick is to be around camp when it takes off and then finish up with what you were doing once it's done. We are having highs in the 80's this week, but on Sunday it hit 99 with opressive humidity. Wow!!
As of this evening, we are sad to tell you of a terrible accident near here. (2 miles) The Bay St Louis to Pass Christian bridge was rercently opened on one side. The crew is building the second side. They had a scaffold collapse and 9 men fell into the water. The locals say there were 2 fatalities. We will know more tomorrow.
As our heading says, we are heading home in 2 1/2 weeks. Our plan is to head out of here on the morning of July 2, and return to Colby on the evening of July 3.
We may need a offering for gas money, Ha Ha!!!! We are so looking forward to seeing everyone and hugging all of you. Thank you for all checking our site and keeping in touch with us.

Hey - This is awesome news (about you finally coming back to Colby). Your flowers around your home are so gorgeous. I've thought about stopping to take photos and emailing them to you even - just in case they are done blooming before you return.
We will pray for safe travels for you back home, and while you are working as well.
Take care,
Sandy and Kevin
